Let's face it an old pattern block that fits nobody is still the same whether it is physically hanging behind the door or stored in the computer. Many ex-clothing manufacturers blame these expensive CAD CAM computer programs for the demise of the clothing industry . In the 90's they were common practice and replaced skilled manual patternmaking.

There is NO substitute for 'hands-on skills' based on REAL body measurements . Technology can only be effective AFTER you know how to draft a pattern from the ground up, draw a style and develop pattern design lines to create a final fitted garment ! Technology without skills is dead and I am delighted to say that the TELESTIA AB program is the most intelligent use of technology I have seen in 40 years of education and is unique in the delivery of critical technical skills for fashion design.
